I have an Emachines pc with a Nvidia Geforce 6100 gpu;Is it worthwhile to spend $100. on a new video card?

Processor is amd sempron 3100 (1.8 GHz);1 gb ram;I mainly just surf the web,but watch live baseball and basketball and a few videos.Went to a few video card web sites, but couldn't find any upgrade adviser tools.I want a budget card, but believe that surely a budget card would be a major improvement over what I have now.|||a new video card will only benefit and improve performance if you play recent computer games or watch HD video.

If you do not find yourself doing that, a new video card would not improve system performance much.|||Your right in the sense that a new graphics card would help but you can acheve the same effect FOR WHAT YOUR DOING with another gig of ram|||Big improvement on what? PC Games? Then definitely there will be a huge increase. On only 100$, don't expect games like Crysis or Bioshock to run real fast on your system though.

And you seem to only watch videos and stuff, so using a dedicated video card will NOT help on those things.
