How can i tell what kind of video card is compatabile with my system?

i have an emachines T3104 and I want to upgrade to a video card that works with vista but I dont know which ones are compatabile for my system..please help.|||Here's your system info: http://e4me.com/support/product_support.…

You should be able to plug in any AGP video card, but be careful - your power supply specs will probably limit your selection. FInd out your PSU wattage and 12V amperage is (it should be on the power supply label) and then you can make a more certain selection.

Jim, http://www.jimpettis.com/wheel/|||Just make sure you get a PCI Express video card. I recommend an ATI Radeon video card. They're the best!!! Also, look on the box. It should say compatable with Vista.|||A PCI-Express card will not work in his machine, as it only has AGP 8x.

You need to purchase a card that connects to an AGP slot.

Here's a cheap 256MB AGP vid card that's $40.

For more options, just go to newegg.com, click on "video cards" and on the left side of the screen, choose "AGP 4x/8x". Newegg is easy to shop at because they usually list most of the important aspects of computer parts right on the shopping page, without having to click through each one.
