I have a eMachine T3120 I was hoping to install a low/medium level video card wanted to know any useful info.?

I know from experience my old HP would not accept an ATI Radeon video card, was just curious if eMachines had anything like that. I know my computer has a few open PCI slots, I also plan to upgrade the RAM but already have the info on that. Any information would be greatly appreciated and help my low budget gaming experience ;d|||Hi John,

Any video card you install needs to match the onboard chipset. So, if the motherboard video chipset is Nvideo, you'll want to purchase a video card with Nvideo chipset. Same goes for ATI.

I just did a google search using 'T3120, video card' as the search criteria. Alot was returned that may be useful to you. Here's the search:

http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=ie…

You can find some really good component prices at:

http://www.newegg.com

Good luck!

What video card is compatible with my emachines t6412?

and which one is good to run windows 7?|||A better question is why would you even bother upgrading an eMachines. They're garbage.

Can my computer handle a Nvidia GeForce 6200 video card (or better)?

I am wanting a bunch of new stuff for my computer for a new video game comming out soon. I have been thinking about getting a new video card and more memory. I don't know much about computers though. But I do know that I own a Emachines T5020 computer. One other thing I know is that it can handle PCI-E video cards.

I am just wondering if you can tell me some good video cards that will work. Thanks!|||You will need a PCI-e 16x slot and according to that page the computer only has PCI and PCI-e 1x. The 6200 probably has a PCI version but PCI cards are very bad for video games and I think your current integrated graphics might even be better than that. On the system requirements page it also says PCI cards will perform poorly.

There are no good cards that fit in your PC but I guess the 6200 PCI version might run the game on low graphics. Don't count on it, though.

I have a video card question for emachines computer?

I have a emahcines with a 250w power supply computer here:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9999111700050017&st=emachines&lp=4&type=product&cp=1&id=pcmprd111800050017

and i was wondering what good 512mb video card could i get without upgrading or changing the power supply. maybe a video card that could run cod4 and crysis no problem.

Thank you very much|||Not possible. If you add a video card, you will have to upgrade to at least a 350w power supply, as it is the bare minimum for some cards. Most will be either 400w or 450w for a minimum requirement.|||no card will be able to play those games with high graphic settings with a 250w power supply. actuallly, the game probably won't even start. i suggest just look on ebay. i got a 650Watt LED power supply for $40, works great

Will the HIS ATI Radeon 9250 256MB video card fit into My T2792 emachines Desktop? as in is the hardware compa?

That last word is compatible btw, and Im thinking about upgrading the graphics in my emachines with the above card, will it fit into the motherboard? i have a link to the vid card here

What kind of video card does my emachines t3256 computer use?

How do i check what type of video card my t3256 emachines computer? Will an agp video card with ati radeon x1300 pro or greater work on my computer? How about with NVIDIA Geoforce 6600 or greater? Does pixel shader 3.0 come with the video card? How do i increase the GHz in my CPU? I need to work medal of honor airborne on my pc but it says my video card doesn't support. And also the minimum requirements say my cpu must be 2.8ghz or faster while mine is only 2.2ghz.|||it uses a very outdated geforce 4 mx. you can get an agp card since you have 1 agp x8 slot. you can make your processor run faster by overclocking, but emachine bios doesn't allow that so you're out of luck.

http://www.emachines.com/support/product…

also if you overclock and don't know what you are doing you might kill your processor. any ways a processor that old will probably not overclock to 2.8ghz in the first place. if you really want to overclock then you will need a new cpu fan.

look up cpu overclocking on google.

this is a list of graphics cards that you can buy, but only buy ythem if your power supply is good enough.

they don't even make the 6600 since its outdated.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…

all of these are pretty outdated by today's standards since agp was replaced by pci-e, but the last one seems good.

youre better off buying a new pc since he one you have now sucks.

VIDEO CARD for emachines ?

I have this PC: http://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=T%20Series&model=T6528 , its been upgraded to 2gb RAM, next thing is that i want to upgrade the video card. it has the original card nothing changed except for the RAM. SO what i want is to get some recommendations of what video car to get. I would like to play games around 2005-2008, not newer cause i know CPU cant deal with it. Please advise me of what to get I would like to get the best VIDEO CARD my pc can handle. THANKS|||Wow, thanks for all the info!

Given the system you have I would recommend an ATI/AMD 5770 PCI-E video card.

It will not need any additional power, and will HUGELY IMPROVE your ability to play not quite cutting edge games. Actually, with a 22" LCD monitor, you would be surprised how well this card will run modern games! Don't go any bigger on the card though, since eMachines power supplies are not known for extra headroom. In any event, you are restricted based on the cpu you have anyway, as you said. You have the PCI-Ex16 slot, I say 5770 all the way!

Would a GeForce 210 1GB Video Card work with my laptop?

I need to upgrade my video card for my eMachines laptop. The kind I saw at the Source was called a GeForce 210 1GB Graphics Card.

Would this work with my laptop? [I'll provide extra details if needed].

If not, any recommendations and locations I can buy a graphics card for my laptop?

Thank you. :)|||Upgrading your video card in a laptop? Nope, especially not in an eMachines turd. Few laptops even have upgradeable video cards, and the ones that do take specific MXM cards, something you won't find off-the-shelf. Furthermore, even if you could, the Geforce 210 is a bottom-end pile of crap that you wouldn't want to use anyway.

Get a better laptop if you want a better video card.|||Your eMachines, and pretty much any laptop under $1500 cannot have their graphics card replaced or upgraded. They are welded onto the motherboard, and there is no slot for a new one.

What is a good video card (gaming max settings) compatible with my computer?

Need help selecting a good video graphics card?

hey i have a emachines t2895 desktop, kinda old, but wanted to update the video graphics card to run games on it better like WoW and was wondering what are some good video graphic card choices. i want something that works well and runs great with high quality because i wanted to later add a blue ray player drive to the computer. please help. i dont know alot about graphic cards and dont know what to look for in a good one. thanks.|||anything by nvidia i like|||what Motherboard, or what slots are open? how good is your power supply unit? with slots are they pcie 2.0? agp? do tell, and i wouldnt go with Nvidia.. they come pre clocked high... ddr3 isnt to shabby.. Where can i get a free emachines video card upgrade??

i brought my computer a new game from the store and now after i install it and click on play it says FULLSCREEN MODE NOT FOUND i think i need a new video card upgrade but do u kno where i can go to get it like a website or somethin???? plz help me that game costed alot of money and the store wont accept refunds or nothin!!!!|||you cant get a free video card update. or at least, if theres one out there i have never seen it. anyway, your computer (since it is a cheap emachines) will likely have integrated graphics which can't be upgraded without replacing the motherboard. if you truly want to play the game, its time for a new computer, or atleast a new computer (which will probably cost you as much as a new computer at the outrageous rates best buy and others charge) get one with sli and a pair of 7600gt's and youll be good for a long time to come.

Hope this helps|||You cannot get a free upgrade, you have to buy one. Check out TigerDirect.com. They have a large selection...just be sure to get one that fits your computer. Also, watch out because eMachines are very cheaply made and the power supplies and motherboards go out on the very often.|||I very much doubt it is the video card.More likely you need to install new drivers our have a Computer Professianal reinstall windows But the chance of it being the video card is ALMOST non existent also you cant get a free one.but at walmart.com you can get one for $30

Emachines T2885 Video Card Installing?

I just bought a Geforce FX5200 video card and i want to install it on my emachines t2885. I see a place on the motherboard where it says "AGP Port", but all i see are these circular metal dots maybe about 2mm in diameter. there are maybe 20 of them.

Can i still install it? I heard the video card is built in to the motherboard,so if i can install it will i be able to disable the other video card?|||This really depends on if your machine has an AGP slot. It sounds like it doesn't. I looked your system up on the eMachines website and it doesn't say anything about expansion slots. I am guessing it has no PCI or PCI-E slots and the AGP slot, although the motherboard could support one, your model does not have one.

Since there is no expansion capability, I think you are out of luck on upgrading the video.|||If you don't see a brown card slot next to the white pci slots,

Then your motherboard has no AGP slot for upgrades.

I saw some with and some without at the eMachines site.

If yours is the one without, I would strongly recommend getting

a newer PC for gaming.

Sorry about the bad news.

Avatarxz|||Are you looking on the motherboard inside or at back of computer? There should be a slot inside where you slip the card in. You'll have to remove the plate on back of machine. You go into the bios and disable the onboard graphics there.

You have the manual right? there should be a picture of the board there. If theres no AGP port inside you'll have to go with a PCI video card, that is, if you have a free PCI slot. Should always make sure you have a slot to put your card into before you buy the card!

What kind of video card will work with my Emachines T5026 model? i cant seem to find any that are compatible.?

does anyone know which video card will work with my computer? & can i install it myself?|||Only PCI-e (a.k.a PCI Express) x1 (not x16) or standard PCI is available for expansion slots.

Google has your cards:

http://www.google.com/search?q=pci-e+x1+…|||Unfortunetly, that model was made for basic use, and has very little room for expandability. There are no AGP or PCI-Express slots to facilitate a video card upgrade. The only option you have is installing a PCI based video card (note: NOT PCI-Express). Compared to the onboard Intel Graphics Media 900 chipset however, there will not be much of an improvement, and possibly may perform worse.

Low cost PC's are made for basic use, with very little if any thought put into future upgrading. Thats why they cost so little. Like everything else (and more so in most cases) you get what you pay for.

I personally have installed a PCI graphics card in a computer very similar to yours. A program (not a game mind you) required a minimum video chipset to operate, and this solved the problem. I can't guarantee that this will be any better or worse than where you're at right now, but the BEST PCI video card I could find is this:

http://www.mwave.com/mwave/viewspec.hmx?…

It's expensive at almost $135, but it's about the best you can do with PCI without spending more money than you would just buying a new computer.

If you do purchase it, it comes with instructions on how to install it (if you can turn a screwdriver, you can install an add-in card like this one). And, if you do decide to try the PCI card, I would be interested in talking to you further to see what the outcome is.

Hope this helps.

Can I take my video card out of a t3304 emachines?

also the monitor doesn't display anything anymore :( I think its due to the video card.|||Hello

Yes

There is a locking device at the back end of the PCI-E slot which you must release before removing the Video card or you will damage the Card and Motherboard.

If your monitor has a Green Flashing light when the computer is running, your resolution setting is out of range for the monitor.

Shut down your computer.

If you are running MS Windows, start the computer and press F8 until you get a screen asking if you want to startup in Safe Mode. Start your computer in Safe Mode.

Set your resolution to a resolution compatible to your monitor. Since you did not include the make and model of your monitor, I cannot give you the correct settings.

What graphics card or video card should I get for my eMachines computer?

Oko, so for christmas, all I want is a new video/graphics card (don't exactly know the difference), so I can run games at a faster FPS rate then it is now. I just don't know what I should get for my computer. I have a eMachines and it has 2GB's of ram.|||what part of E-Machine do you not get?

What is the best video card for my emachines t3104 computer?

My computer has a AGP 8x slot and the max 2 gb of RAM. I'm unsure of the power supply andI have Windows Vista Ultimate 64x bit Installed.|||If its only has an AGP slot, you're better off getting a new computer as that computer is so old and shoddy that simply replacing the video card won't get you the performance you're looking for. Emachines are extremely low end and typically not worth upgrading at all. Even if you could somehow put a $500 video card in there (probably more than you initally paid for the entire computer), it wouldn't make it a gaming computer.

What is a really good PCI Express video card for an eMachines?

I'm looking to upgrade my son's PC for X-mas but not sure what is a good video card for PCI Express. I don't want to upgrade the power supply (if I don't have to) so it's the stock power supply for a 2 year old eMachines PC. I guess the power supply in it now is 250 or 300 watt.

What's a decent video card that will accelerate the graphics for video editing and making animations via Macromedia Flash?

Thanks in advance!|||hi mate

there are many decent pci-express graphic cards to choose from however you can get decent performance and good frame rates from cards below £100 and why spend £300 or more on a high end gaming card thats gonna give you double the frame rate when the frame rates from the sub £100 cards are good enough (30+fps)

the first card i shall recommend is the MSI HD 4850 OC 512MB GDDR3 Dual DVI Out PCI-E Graphics Card ( http://www.ebuyer.com/product/172948),an… this is one of the most popular cards in the sub £100 range, and this is due to its price to performance ratio,in other words the performance in comparison to its cost is second to none, for example it has a 640mhz core clock and 512mb of gddr3 memory running at 1986mhz,and with a 256bit memory interface and a 63.5gb/sec memory bandwidth and you have a card that will run todays games pretty well

the next card i am recommending is the PALIT GTS250 Green 1GB GDDR3 HDMI DVI VGA Out PCI-E PhysX and Cuda ready PCI-E Graphics Card ( http://www.ebuyer.com/product/168910 ) ...and as a owner of a gts250( the xfx version ) i can tell you this is a awesome gaming card and will run todays games at high detail and resolution

specs wise theres a 738mhz core clock and a massive 1gb of gddr3 memory clocked at 1100mhz(2200mhz ddr effective),and with a 256bit memory interface and a 70.1gb/sec memory bandwidth this is a extremely powerful card for its price, and then include the physx and cuda support and you have the best sub £100 gaming card there is...and since the HD4850 does not support any physx features this makes the gts250 a far more appealing purchase

the last and not least recommendation is the "Gainward GT240 1GB GDDR5 DCI VGA HDMI Out PCI-E Graphics Card"( http://www.ebuyer.com/product/180042 )...and allthough this may not be as fast as the other two its technology is newer and it supports the faster gddr5 memory which equates to a cooler and quieter card which has to be a good thing !

and its specifications are not too bad aswell, and these include a 585mhz core clock and 1gb of gddr5 memory running at 1800mhz,and with a 128bit memory interface and support for physx and cuda and this is a serious gaming card and especially good for anyone with a sli enabled motherboard

all these cards will run all desktop tasks including video editing, media conversion and will even run some cad applications, however your current 300watt psu will struggle to cope with any of these graphic cards, however you can buy a capable budget psu for less than £35 that will happily and safely power any of these cards, the Sumvision PowerX2 700W PSU ( http://www.ebuyer.com/product/175541 ) costs just £22 and is rated at a massive 700watts and has all the nessecary power connectors including the most important pci-express 6pin connector(required for the above cards)

and the CIT 700W Black Edition PSU ( http://www.ebuyer.com/product/169063 ) is another decent psu, infact of all budget power supplys this is the brand i would most trust, and this particular model is excellent,it has a rated power of 700watts and also has dual +12v rails with 20A on each rail...this is more than enough to run all the above cards with the gts250 requiring 24A on the +12v rail and the HD4850 needing 26A on the +12v rail

summary : so these are just three of the many gaming cards you can get for under £100,allthough there are also some cards for under £50 that will run games at lower detail levels, however theres one more card i recently found thats just over £50 however at this price you would expect a budget card thats average in performance...wrong....check out the

Asus ATI Radeon HD 3850 X2 1024MB ( http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods… )...yes for just over £50 you can get a gaming card with 2 x gpu,s...yes two graphic cards built into a single board and for £50 !

and performance is pretty good aswell,it has a 668mhz core( x 2 ) and 1024mb( 512mb x 2) of gddr3 memory running at 1650mhz...and with a 512bit( 2 x 256bit memory interfaces) and support for HDMI and you have a awesome card at a thoroughly amazing price...infact if you had a crossfire enabled motherboard and a 800watt or more power supply you could run a quad crossfire gaming rig for ljust over £100,,,and thats if you could find any compatible drivers to run this kind of set-up

i hope this has helped, any problems let me know

good luck mate !|||It's a huge difference whether it's a 250W or a 300W.

Will my eMachines T2984 computer be compatible with an nVidia GeForce video card?

Hello. I have an eMachines T2984 computer. I have considered to upgrade to an nVidia GeForce video card, as Integrated Graphics sucks.

I want to know if my computer will be compatible with this video card.

The technician says I must have a PCI or AGP motherboard..

I downloaded the program, Everest Home Edition, And it said my Motherboard's name is "Intel Plumb Island D845EPI / Sea Breeze D845GVSR / Villanova D845GLVA"

Will this be compatible? Please help immediately as I plan to install this over the weekend.|||I got some bad news for you.

According to Emachine's support page for your T2984, under specifications it says your machine uses the Intel 845GV chipset: http://www.emachines.com/support/product…

The 845GV boards are virtually non-upgradeable. It only has three non-express PCI slots, and no AGP slot at all, so there is absolutely no way you can put a decent graphics card in that machine.

Don't bother with non-express PCI graphics cards. They are horribly bottlenecked by the PCI bus's 33mHz transfer speed, which means it will actually be SLOWER than the on-board graphics you have now. (Yes, it will suck even worse). A complete waste of money.

Best save your money for a new computer. That T2984 already reached the end of its line 4 years ago.|||yes it will work as long as you have the slot for the card on your motherboard as they are agp, pci, or asi|||intel 845 you should look if you have an agp slot, no PCIe because your Motherboard is old. the best agp card is geforce 7800, a decent card but rather dated and quite a power hog (you need a decent psu). Good agp cards are much more expensive and hard to find then similar PCIe cards.

If you don't have an agp slot even you shouldn't bother.

Your pc is 6 years old(technologically) you should buy a new one if you want to play games.

If you can't upgrade to a new machine search for a second hand agp video card.(maybe a radeon 9600 or fx 5700 10-20$ much faster than what you have )

What video card is compatible with my emachines el 1600 desktop PC?

My PC's specs are here: http://emachines.com/products/products.html?prod=EL1600-01|||You are going to have to live with the integrated video on that computer. There are no video card slots nor PCI slots for upgrading anything.|||You can not upgrade using a "good card." You have no PCI express ports, which is what modern video cards are. You have a VGA port. Their are some VGA cards, but they're pretty old technology. You also have an Intel Atom processor... The video card would probably kill the processor. I would suggest getting another computer or just leaving the integrated graphics alone. I know it's not what you wanted to hear. I am using an eMachines T3646, and it is a load of crap... lol.|||There's absolutely no way that machine will run a GT220 without a power supply upgrade, not to mention that a dual core atom with bottleneck it to high heaven, and it doesn't have a slot for it. Also, I poked around, and found that your motherboard only has 1 PCI-E x1 slot, which means you are severely limited in card choice. The best of which being a Radeon 4350, which is in no way an intense gaming card. You're better off investing in a new PC. Sorry.

|||lol, I have got an emachines, and I hate it!!!!!

i will get blue screen of death or something, like every 30minutes.

Anyway, you are very very limited on what processor you can get. there are none really that you can get. But, for your video card, yes you can get a 9800gtx. BUT, you need to upgrade your power supply. That video card will die in like 10 minutes of you pc being on, if you don't upgrade your power supply. I know this, because I have an emachines pc, with a worse video card then that, and it cant even handle that.

Also, your computer has 2 pci-e slots on it.One is a PCI-E ×1, and one is a PCI-E ×16. YOU MUST PUT IT IN THE PCI-E ×16 SLOT.

By the way, what do you hate about ur Emachines? I hate everything about mine.

Can an eMachines T5088 have a high profile video card?

I'm trying to buy a video card for my computer. It is the Nvidia GT 430 and i want to know if it will fit in my computer since it is a high profile card. Also, will the power supply be enough to handle the card? I would appreciate it if you could answer these questions.|||Your computer can use that card just fine. but it is getting on the old side and your processor is going to be very limiting in what you have the ability to do. Most newer games require dual core processors. You may be better off just updating with a whole new computer.|||Nope, as far as I know emachines is the worst company every all of it is made out of cheap material. Emachines PC's aren't compatible with that sorry.

I need video card for an Emachines W3644?

I am currently using an Emachines W3644 and the onboard video is going out. I was wanting to know what exact video cards I can get that will work for this exact type of computer. I dont have alot of money at the moment to buy a computer so I would only like answers about what video cards I can get and/or what price they might be. Thanks to those who can help out.|||I'd recommend a standard PCI video card.

Anything PCI would work.

You COULD get a PCIe video card, but I can guarantee you'd need a new power supply considering most eMachine desktops have 250 - 350 watt power supplies -- and most video cards require a minimum of 450 watts.

Here's a bunch of cheap PCI video cards.

EMachines t2542 Video Card upgrade?

Is there any way I can upgrade this comp with a new video card. I know it's an old comp and i need a new one but until then, is there a way to upgrade the video on this? I just want to be able to play some old games on it like Halo CE or Morrowind and such...

Please recommend one to.

* 48x CD-RW Optical Drive

* Integrated AC'97 Audio

* Intel Extreme 3D Graphics with 64MB Shared Memory

* v.92 Kbps PCI Modem and 10/100 Ethernet

* Six USB 2.0 Ports

* Three PCI Expansion Slots (Two Available)

* Windows XP Home Operating System

As you can see, the Video/Graphics sucks...

Any help will be appreciated|||You could add a PCI video card and I would add the max amount of ram. Depending on your system, It may be possible to increase the shared amount of graphics memory in the BIOS after adding more ram.

How can i tell what kind of video card is compatabile with my system?

i have an emachines T3104 and I want to upgrade to a video card that works with vista but I dont know which ones are compatabile for my system..please help.|||Here's your system info: http://e4me.com/support/product_support.…

You should be able to plug in any AGP video card, but be careful - your power supply specs will probably limit your selection. FInd out your PSU wattage and 12V amperage is (it should be on the power supply label) and then you can make a more certain selection.

Jim, http://www.jimpettis.com/wheel/|||Just make sure you get a PCI Express video card. I recommend an ATI Radeon video card. They're the best!!! Also, look on the box. It should say compatable with Vista.|||A PCI-Express card will not work in his machine, as it only has AGP 8x.

You need to purchase a card that connects to an AGP slot.

Here's a cheap 256MB AGP vid card that's $40.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…

For more options, just go to newegg.com, click on "video cards" and on the left side of the screen, choose "AGP 4x/8x". Newegg is easy to shop at because they usually list most of the important aspects of computer parts right on the shopping page, without having to click through each one.

How can i remove a video card from my computer so that it goes back to using the video chip it has.?

I have an Emachines computer which i upgraded with memory, a new hhd and a new video card. it's worked for years. Now the video card which i had installed is failing and i dont really have the money to get a new one or get it fixed. I really thought i could just go back to using the video chip that i used before i installed that video card, but dont know what to do. Can anyone help me?|||go into the bios and select your internal graphics card and then take your other one out.|||Just pull out the card and plug the monitor into the VGA port on the motherboard. Then re-install the graphics drivers for your eMachines model. It's really that simple.|||You need to get in your bios. That's the screen that comes up when booting up that tells you to press certain keys to get into you BIOS. Once in bios you can choose the video chip on the mother board to use for your video instead of a plug-in card.

Need specific Hard Drive, Video Card and CPU upgrade suggestions for eMachines T6524?

Can you give me specific upgrade suggestions for my eMachines T6524.

I am wanting to upgrade my hard drive, video card and cpu.

Specific suggestions are much appreciated (or websites I can use to make sure upgrades are compatible with my PC). For example, I used crucial.com for my memory upgrades.

I want to increase performance of streaming video at full screen, running multiple applications (when I am downloading torrents, it greatly decreases the speed of other applications), also I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I want to be able to run N64 emulators smoother.

Here are my specs.

eMachines T6524

Windows XP MCE '05

AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+

2.20 GHz

2000 MHz FSB

512 KB L2 Cache

250gb ATA hard drive

1024 MB DDR SDRAM Dual Channel (but I have already added an add'l 1gb ram)

Video ATI RADEON XPRESS 200

PCI Express slot available

Also, I have been told I will probably have to increase my power supply.

Thanks...|||Honestly, its not worth even trying to upgrade the CPU. Your system uses socket 939, which was replaced 3 years ago with socket AM2, and we are now moving into socket AM3.

You have pretty much the fastest CPU you are going to find anymore for that board.

Pretty much the same story with the hard drive, its just not worth it. You already have a 250Gig 7200RPM hard drive, you aren't going to see a boost from upgrading to a newer drive that would have essentially the same specs.

Now, you could upgrade the video card, for your needs I'd say an ATI, HD 4850 or higher would be more than adequete. If you want to go NVidia, get a 9800 or a GTX 260.

For $100 this would be perfect for you, and would not need a power supply upgrade:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…

The other thing you might want to look at would be your memory. bumping it up to 2Gig wouldn't hurt. But here like with your CPU, you are stuck using the older DDR memory as opposed to DDR2 or DDR 3.|||to do all that it's easier to just by another computer or start from scrtach.

I need a video graphics card for my emachines eM250 series what kind do I need to buy?

emachines eM250 series what kind do I need to buy?|||To be honest you can't really upgrade the graphics in a laptop, especially not in a netbook. Probably you're best option would be to upgrade laptops, invest in a desktop, or stick with what you've got.

Changing an eMachines video card?

I have an eMachines ET1331-02. I haven't changed any hardware yet. I went in to change the video card, and there was a panel in the back blocking the place where the output should be. Does anybody have any clue how to remove that?|||Those panels are removeable, some unscrew while others pop out. The pop out ones cannot or usually cannot be put back, once the space is opened.

You say you went in to change the card, if you have a card already installed, then you can use the same slot in the back. Unless you got a differenty type of video card, meaning you might have had a pci card and bought a PCI-e card. They are different.

But if you are running with the on board video, no card, then you pop off one of the slot panels, unscrew or just pry off. and then put your video card in.

I don't know how the EMachine is set up, so I can't say for sure if there is any other panel in the way.|||Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ILrq7lMe…|||there should be a screw of some sort which can either be unscrewed or pulled out. After that you should be able to pull it out and it should just pop off.

If you do not find yourself doing that, a new video card would not improve system performance much.|||Your right in the sense that a new graphics card would help but you can acheve the same effect FOR WHAT YOUR DOING with another gig of ram|||Big improvement on what? PC Games? Then definitely there will be a huge increase. On only 100$, don't expect games like Crysis or Bioshock to run real fast on your system though.

And you seem to only watch videos and stuff, so using a dedicated video card will NOT help on those things.

Is COD 4 playable on a eMachines w3653 with out a video card?

Or is there any drivers i can in stall that will get rid of the UBYTE4N vertex data error|||No, COD4 needs a real video card with hardware-level vertex & shader support.|||Only in your imagination. No, sorry. You would get lack luster performance with that rig even with a video card.|||Nope, most video games require a computer nowadays.

Can I upgrade a video card laptop Emachines eMachines eME625-5192 ( ATI X1200 )?

How to fix Minecraft Bad Video Card error message?

Alright i have tried everything, turning down the hardware execration, trying to update my video card EVERYTHING. I'm running Windows xp. Im not sure witch kind but its made by emachines so that might help. Can anyone give me a link to a video card i can download or maybe give me some advice?|||Did u try running it in the browser and a video card is a piece of hardware but u might need to update the drivers go into ur cmd then type in dxdiag to find the card then go to that cards website and down the newest divers|||You don't download a video card. Getting a new video card actually means buying a piece of physical hardware (the video card) and installing that into your physical computer. That said, you wouldn't need a too powerful video card to be able to run Minecraft, an Nvidia 8400GS would be a cheap option.

This will give you a better understanding of the specific upgrades you will need to run it.

--------------------------------------…

Priority I would say RAM. It will be cheaper and improve your system and you will actually notice it. I personally wouldn't run Vista on anything lower than 3 gigs of Ram considering it is kind of a system resource hog. Also to boost some Vista performance click here.

It is called ready boost and it simulates RAM using a Flash card. It is pretty much advanced virtual memory.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows…

--------------------------------------…

Video Card:

All a video card is a graphical possessor for graphical needs. Such as

Video or visual Rendering

Games

High End science programs

Obviously Most people just use it for games, or because they want numerous screens. You might have to upgrade the video card also.

Make sure you get the latest Driver update for your video card! This will also help the performance!

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.asp…

--------------------------------------…|||You need more RAM.|||You can't run the sims 3, you need a 2.4 ghz processor speed. And right now you would definitely want to max out your ram especially with vista|||I would think the RAM. Vista really does need at least 2 gb to run, but 4 is better. Also, you could upgrade your processor. I don't think the Sims is that big on graphics, so it should be alright.|||Go with the ram. 1GB is barely enough to run Vista alone.

Since all the Sims games are more CPU intensive rather than GPU intensive, I'd rule out the GPU upgrade.|||You can simply upgrade the RAM to perhaps 3-4GB (2GB on vista is.. not really good) for optimal enjoyment of the game :)..

Also, you can upgrade your video card to something cheap, like an ATI Radeon 4350 or 4550, which is most probably better than your current one, and is quite cheap ($70-80 Singapore $).|||RAM will help your computer run faster in general. Allowing programs to run smoother. A video card will allow you to play high-res games, at a better quality.

I would go with RAM first if the game looks OK, and then a video card if it still is choppy.

Emachines computer- how to change video card?

how do change my video card on a emachines t1090|||Just put it in the open slot emachines cant really take parts out you just gotta put new ones in|||Is it a tower? Not a laptop? If it's a laptop you can't however a tower is very simple first off you will need to know what type of video card you have. You can find out in the system Bios by hitting Del or esc or F2 at system reboot. this will take some searching but you are looking for primary video device. It should Say AGP, Or PCI, Or PCI-E

You can also find out by looking at the port when you open up the computer but a trained eye will need to know what it is looking for. You can go to google and search for pictures on what the different ports look like.

The easiest is to just take out the card while the computer is off and unplugged. And just look at it. Should say right on the card. If it is fairly old withing 4 or 5 years I would say ts a PCI or AGP. Fairly new PCI -E or AGP.

Now once you know what card slot type you have you can buy a new card and installing it is very simple.

Remove the case cover and locate where the card is. Unscrew the retaining bolt. or There should be a plastic green piece over the slot retaining all your cards so they don't move. Simply Lift it up and remove the card. Be sure to unplug any power source for the card.

Then replace it with the new card and snap it down or re[place the screw and power up, If there are two of the same slots you may need to just switch the ports. its very easy just don't over think it you'll figure it out.|||Open the machine, find an empty PCI slot,or AGP,whatever suits your device, and install.

Just be careful, when inserting the card, and don't push down too hard.

No worries....

did u purchace the pc new ?? if so 90% come with intergarted graphics ie what you are showen as 3d 64mb graphic

i sugest you pay few pounds and get a pci express graphic card even a 512mb card will cost only few quid now ! interated cards are either for very old and low end pcs or them kinda pcs you buy from pc world and dixons and alot of laptops

they cheap today

64 mb is so dull and crap nearly useless unles syou just google websites - no offence but you cant run high end videos or games on a 64mb on board card windows 7 prob just picked up ur info maybe try reset your relosution etc to make it feel normal , cus im sure win7 would pic up a on board card no problems|||This intel web page should scan your pc. If not browse around within the site for your chipset.

I have had a quick look and I think you are unlucky, because I don't think that they supply drivers for your graphics for win 7

edit sorry forgot to put the address http://www.intel.com/support/detect.htm|||I'm pretty certain that there are no Windows 7, or even Vista drivers for that chipset. You may get away with installing xp drivers if you adjust your compatibility settings for the installation program. But the chances are probably not.

Going to buy a video card can I change from regular to HD?

I have a emachines w3507 which has an ATI redeon X200 video card and i want to make graphics better will HD video card work on it?|||Your W3507 is not really using a video card. Your ATI Radeon x200 is actually BUILT into the motherboard. That's called "onboard graphics".

Your computer comes with a special slot called a PCI-e interface that will allow you to upgrade to a dedicated graphics card. You can go out and buy any PCI-e video card, and it will improve your video a lot, because the card takes all the extra work of showing graphics off your computer cpu and does it itself instead.

YOUR COMPUTER ONLY HAS A 300W power supply. This is very important because some of the best HD video cards use so much electricity that it will burn out your computer eventually. You can do 1of 2 things:

-Upgrade your power supply. This would be difficult because your model of emachines uses a special sized power supply box that is hard to replace.

-Buy a graphics card that still lets you see HD video, play the latest video games, etc., but does not use a lot of electricity.

http://www.gpureview.com/superlatives.ph… is a website that reviews cards based on their cost, performance, and how many watts they use. According to them, the ideal card for your system would be any of the 8600GT cards because they perform good, are relatively inexpensive compared to other cards, but will not over-burden your power supply.|||technology-http://mtechlaptop.com/

How do you increase display memory on a emachines and the video card is intagrated with the motherboard?

Get into the BIOS, by pressing either F2 or Delete at the boot-up screen. You should have an option there for setting the amount of shared memory the system is bound to allocate to the IGP(Integrated Graphics Port). Set it to max 128 MB, it should be good enough, since integrated graphic cards do not render very high performance anyway.|||In the BIOS.|||You can't. An integrated graphics card means it is built into the motherboard chipset, so you cannot tweak it at all. You cannot increase display memory on any video card. For integrated graphics, the driver allocates (reserves) system memory, or RAM, for graphics. RAM is much slower than dedicated graphics memory. If you have low RAM, like 128MB or even 256 or 512MB, the system may degrade graphics quality to improve system performance. In the end, no you cannot add graphics memory, but you can add system memory to possibly increase graphics performance. Or, just drop down the dough and get a dedicated graphics card if you have the money and the appropriate slot on you motherboard available. Just make sure the memory usage is set properly in the BIOS.|||yes check in bios, but ya may be very limited on the amt. otherwise you will need to add a vid card. to do this find out if ya have a agp, or pci-e slot available. then select a vid card with at least 128 to 256 of mem. disable on board vid in bios and run fom the slot. also delete your old vid drivers if any, and install the latestest stuff ya can from the chipset maker's site. i. e. nvidia or ati. if none of these slots are available then get a pci only vid card and install closest to the processor. or take to a comp shop ask them how much to upgrade vid.

What video card would be best for my emachines T3393 computer? I want to play games like sims 2 pets, etc, but?

im thinking of getting a new video card because the one i have is not so great and i want to buy some games but i need a better video card to play them. I need one thats not over $100 but i need one that will make the sims 2 games play really good cuz i bought sims 2 deluxe and sims 2 pets and it plays OK, but its very slow, and the walls in the game are always flashing red and i heard the only way of fixing that problem is to upgrade the video card. ALSO, my dad said there is no way to take out and put a new video card in because its in the mother board or something. Is that true? ooooo and since im not so great with computers, please explain to me to where i can understand it. sorry, im really terrible with computers :)

also, some video or info that shows or tells you how to like take the video card out and put it in or what ever, would be reallllyyyy appreciated. Thank you so much!|||Your dad is wrong, you can upgrade your video card. However, you told me that your computer is an eMachines. eMachines are exceptionally bad computers. Everything in them is low-end and slow. Your video card is likely only one of a number of things that's making your games run poorly. Of course, Sims 2 doesn't exactly have steep system requirements, so upgrading to a semi-descent video card should help.

I bought a game w/out readin min. sys. reqs. for it. Does a video graphics card come in a emachines T2885 comp

Moreover this is a Celeron Processor based Machine, it may surely not be good enough for gaming and such.

This machine has an onboard Graphics Processor, an Intel 845GV.

DirectX can be down downloaded from Microsoft Website.|||You might have to buy a graphics card that's DX9 compatible, like the other guy said, cheap PC's don't come with anything other than a 32bit card which is basically junk. If you do end up getting one, get at least a 128bit card and you may need to get a new MoBo while you're at it. I think your processor is decent too.

Is this video card better than what I already have?

I am looking at buying EVGA 512-P3-1215-LR GeForce GT210 Video Card. I already have Integrated NVIDIA® GeForce® 6150 SE graphics in my PC. The computer is a eMachines ET1331G-03w. Also, and more important, will it work in my PC?|||Yes it will work. It's a low power video card so your present power supply will run it.

Have fun

Would a NVIDIA® GeForce® 6150SE integrated card work well for streaming video to a LCD TV?

I have an emachines PC that has this video card integrated on the pc. I want to start streaming to my LCD TV using some sort of VGA signal splitter to the HDMI port on my TV. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...|||You should check out satellite direct on mac.|||Well more things come into play when doing this like lcd size and screen resloution. how much memore does the built in card have and what not but wince its a 6150 I'd say it would work fine as long as you like how the video plays on the tv.

Btw I love nvidia cards if its bang for the buck i suggest going to tigerdirect.com and getting a nvidia 9800 card they work great.|||I would say that you will not get a good result if you use the integrated graphics from the eMachine to your LCD TV. I would recommend a video card the either has a HDMI port or DVI port (you can get a DVI to HDMI cable) and connect it to the LCD TV.

what you have to take in consideration is the power supply. it must be at least 250W in order to run that graphics card, better would be 300W but you can try anyway if your PC has a 250W psu.

ATI Radeon Express|||The best card you can put in is actually depending on your budget, as the higher the price, the better the card (performance). Only thing you need to watch out for, is that's it a PCI Express video card, which most of them in the stores are.

Around 100 bucks, I'd say an ATI HD4830 would give you enough power for general 3D gaming (with mid-to-high quality settings at a resolution of 1280x1024). Usually it jumps right up to the 150-200 range for the next step, which means 3D gaming at high resolutions (1600x1200 or higher).

Will a ddr2 video card work on my ddr computer?

I hvae a emachines t3410 and I want to put in a video card and I bought a ddr2 video card and I need to known if it matters what kind of ddr it has?|||No, the DDR2 type ram on your graphics card works independently from your system RAM. They do not need to be of compatible types to work. The only thing that must be compatible is the AGP/PCI/PCIe slot and the OS.|||if you have the right slot on your motherboard pci/agp it will work fine, you will need the specified operating sysem and powersupply.|||as long as you have the slow for it on your motherboard it should be just fine|||Yes, it will.

Ensure that the graphics/video card is compatible with your motherboard, however.|||Yes it will. Any graphics card that has the same bus type(pci-e,pci,agp) will work. If you wanted you could use a gddr3 graphics card. The ram is attached to the graphics card. Think of your graphics card as a mini motherboard. Essentially it it. It has its own ram and its own cpu. I hope I solved your answer.

In order to go back to the onboard video card you need to remove the 8400GS currently in your computer.

Video card and Power Supply Question on emachines?

I have a emahcines with a 250w power supply computer here: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9999111700050017&st=emachines&lp=4&type=product&cp=1&id=pcmprd111800050017

and i was wondering what good 512mb video card could i get without upgrading or changing the power supply. maybe a video card that could run cod4 and crysis no problem.

Thank you very much|||According to the specs for that system at BestBuy, your Emachines has an available PCIExpress 16x slot for graphics cards.

For a 250-watt power supply, I recommend sticking with a graphics card that draws under 75 watts of electrical power. That means either the nVidia 9500GT or the ATI Radeon HD4670.

Hope this helps.

Installing a Video Card in an Emachines W3653?

I'm trying to install a XFX Geforce 8400 GS video card in an Emachines W3653. If I boot up with the video card installed the screen is blocky and extremely distorted. I cant install the drivers before I install the card because when I attempt to run the setup CD that came with the video card it tells me I don't have an XFX product installed. Any help would be appreciated.|||Try this :

1.Uninstall your old video drivers in Add/remove programs.

2. Reboot and go to bios and turn off any on board/integrated video card.

3. When windows comes up install the latest nvidia driver for the card. The latest may not be on the cd. Check the nvidia site.

4. Probably need another reboot.

Good luck

Ive been asking alot of people on here that i want a new video card on my emachines w3653 ive?

been told i have to change my power supply is there any card i can buy that i wont have do do this|||If you want a fast videocard, you definitely need to upgrade the power supply. For example, both low-end Ati 4350 and 4550 consume at most 25W, while the 4870 goes up to 150W.

The 4550 will be much faster than your integrated Intel video "decelerator" with 3D graphics, but, it's nowhere near as powerful as mid level video cards.

How do I install video card?

It's an emachines T3418 if that matters.|||i looked up t3418 and you have a pci express slot so the 7100gs is compatible, you shouldn't need to disable the on board video, just install the video card, boot up and it will say found new hardware windows will try to instill software cancel it, and install your software that came with it. you'll need to change the resolution after.

good luck!|||You don't have to disable anything, just plug the video card into the AGP slot and install drivers.|||its usually under somthing like onboard peripherals ... or integrated hardware .... just plug it in ... boot to safemode ... go to device manager and disable onboard .... then install the driver for the new card and reboot ..|||Just go to Device Manager by way of pressing the Windows flag key and the scroll lock key at the same time. This will bring up the System Properties window. Click the Hardware tab - then Device Manager. Right click your current video adapter and choose "disable."

Restart your machine - the graphics will be "funky" - just basic. Most instructions have you install the drivers first - then shut down and install the card. Restart and let Windows find the drivers on its own.|||Go to your Device Manager, click on Display Adapters and disable it from there.|||SOME newer BIOS systems do NOT need to be disabled. They will AUTOMATICALLY disable the onboard when they find the new card; (or there may be an option to allow use of BOTH with separate monitors) READ the MB docs if you have them or check the manufacturer's website.

NEWER OS's will then automatically detect the new video card and try to install the drivers. SOME cards want you to install the drivers BEFORE you install the cards, so READ the instructions.|||XP OS

Video Card Upgrade for eMachines ET1331G-03w?

Current stock video card is a NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE

My ultimate goal for this computer would be to run dual 22" monitors as well as have output to a HDTV (connecting via component). Any and all advice on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

I am NOT a gamer at all. Purpose for dual monitors would be multiple screens to assist and make job as an accountant simpler and quicker. Output to HDTV would be to stream movies and baseball games normally watched online at desktop to a 55" TV. Computer will not be used for other functions while output going to TV.

Current thoughts would be to first upgrade power supply to something along the lines of Logisys PS600A12 (http://www.directron.com/ps600a12.html) and add a second video card GeForce 9500 GT (http://www.directron.com/n9500gtmd1gd2.html). I believe that will handle the dual monitors.

Next how to I connect to HDTV via component cables? Is it as simple as a Y-splitter off the second card, one to the second monitor then one to the HDTV with a VGA to component cable? Or do I need some type of adapter?

Thank you very much for your help.|||ok first off for HD you will need a DVI cable, if your tv does not support a DVI connection then you will need a HDMI to DVI cable http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-HDMI-… or if your connecting 2 hdtv's together then u could use http://www.amazon.com/Manhattan-DVI-D-Du…

your graphics card looks like it supports dule monitors so you should be fine in that, no update should be required but you can always go to the website http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index5.as…

What type of video card does an eMachines desktop with AMD Athlon Single-Core Processor LE-1620 have?

I'm trying to find a computer on the less expensive side that can accommodate the Sims 3 game I just purchased.|||If you're talking about this computer: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9170835&type=product&id=1218043607320 there is no way that computer will ever play The Sims 3 to any extent one would consider playable. That thing wouldn't be able to play The Sims 2 either.

When buying a computer, your best bet is to go to a small local computer store where they actually build the computers themselves and ask them to make something that would be able to comfortably play The Sims 3. You will also be looking at a substantial amount more than $300 USD.

The Sims 3 is an extremely advanced game, and I think even the PS3 would struggle.|||Most likely integrated / on-board graphics with shared video memory, which means you will only to play the Sims 3 at low settings reasonably, if at all.|||AMD sucks.

Go Intel.

Video card in emachines?

Hello, I was looking to buy a low end computer for my brother and was looking at this particular emachines http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8649304&type=product&id=1195599475252. My question is that I have a geforce 6800 gs graphics card from an old comp, and was wondering it it would be compatiable with this new desktop.|||that depends on if your 6800GS is PCIe or AGP.

all new emachines only has PCIe slot no AGP.

well than the answer is tentatively yes, but id like to see a working link the emachines.

Could you recommend a video card for me to use with?

Unknown PCI device when installing ATI Radeon HD2400 PRO on a eMachines with integrated NVIDIA video card?

I installed the new video card, it is recognised but another PCI device is detected and I have no ideea what it is and the PC is not finding any driver for it! My eMachines is a W3118 model with 2 Gb RAM. The OS is Windows XP and the video card is a Powercolor. There is no manual for its installation on the producer site. After I phisically installed it, I installed the drivers from the CD that came in the box.|||So the video card works I am assuming?

You can go to your computer's device manager. PCI devices are usually found under "Other devices" That might tell you what it is.

Is the pop up box annoying you or just a hassle?

You can right click on the PCI icon. It usually has a yellow ! mark and disable it. That should prohibit the message from appearing on your screen.

Hopefully I interpreted that correctly.|||if its not hurting your pc don't worry about it.I'm not sure but i had integrated nvidia graphics on my old emachines pc,if i remember correctly i think i disabled the integrated card

by right clicking on my computer then properties and finally in device manager under display adapters make sure there is 1 display not 2 that is enabled. disable your integrated card by clicking on it and select disable reboot and good luck|||If you have integrated video on your motherboard, you need to disable this in BIOS.

Video cards often have multiple functions. You may have an HDMI or some other output on the new board which is considered by the OS to be a 2nd device.

Bottom line: if everything's working, don't sweat it.

Jim, http://www.jimpettis.com/wheel/|||Jims right. Thats ATI's audio or HDML. To fix it you'll have to download and install drivers from ATI for it. I'd try the latest video drivers first. You can scroll down this page and see the post about the same thing with a 2600 card called "

ATI HD2600 "Unknown PCI device" solution"

http://redwinedrummer.wordpress.com/

There is a link with a red "here" that actually has drivers but I would only try them as a last resort but the new cards probably use the same ones.

No real biggie and doesn't have to be fixed unless it annoys you.

I need help locating video graphics card inside a emachines t5234 computer (picture of the inside included)?

Okay so I've opened up my computer and I've never removed a graphics card before. So I have no idea where it is. I found a pic of the same exact computer i have with it, with everything open so the parts kinda show. Can you just like edit it on paint and draw an arrow pointing to where the video graphics card will be? or explain to me where it is? Or both ? x) Thank you :D

http://s644.photobucket.com/albums/uu168…|||You don't remove it as it has an internal graphics card that is built into the mobo. If you want to add one into the comp the you need to put it in your pci-e slot which is the red one in the picture you have provided. When you install it your computer should automatically disable the onboard card. If not you have to disable it in the bios. Pretty simple good luck.

ADD:

All motherboards since at least 2000 have a built in card. Now at the same time some computers that are prebuilt come with a dedicated card also. No emachine does. In fact most prebuilt computers under $700 do not come with one. Dedicated GPU's are expensive usually ranging anywhere from $50-$2000. Low range cards don't run much better then chipsets (integrated cards) so anytime you buy a card at least spend $100 on it. Anything over $500 is not for gaming but for workstation comps. I hope that all makes sense to ya. What exactly are you trying to do?

ADD:

Here is a good site to help you out a little:http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLis… . They have about the lowest prices and I refined the search for you to keep it in the $100-$200 range. I would recommend this one if you want a good one for a cheap price: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as… . Good luck.

I need a video card for my emachines t3882 desktop. Do i need a PCI or PCI express?

Or is there any other way I can tell?|||This is hilarious.. even the user manual doesn't say!!!

http://www.emachines.com/support/product…

However, the pictures show what appears to be a PCI-Express slot (darker color) in addition to a couple of PCI slots. Open your case and look. If all of the expansion slots are short white ones, then your system only has PCI. If there's a different colored longer slot nearest to the processor, then it's either AGP or PCI-Express (and in the user manual photos it looks like PCI-E)

Here's what a PCI-Express slot looks like (light blue in this photo)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/…

I recommend downloading the SIW program, which can give you all the details of your computer's hardware. including the motherboard model number. Then it's easy to look up the specific motherboard and confirm what video slot type it has.

Keep in mind that most gaming video cards (GeForce 9600GT or better) will require a power supply upgrade as well. If your factory power supply is 300 watts, then you can install a Radeon 4650 or 4670 without having buy a new power supply.|||You will need a PCI Video card.

There is a way to tell, you would need to open up your computer and look at the slots on the motherboard. There are several different slots available depending on your particular motherboard.

AGP - Typically is dark brown

PCI - Typically is white

PCI-Ex16 - Typically is longer than a PCI slot

PCI-Ex1 - Typically is a smaller slot on the motherboard.

Can I use any video card as a replacement for my computer?

Will any video card work? I want a pretty good one. I have an emachines T2482|||You're computer is pretty dated to be fair. If you're looking at spending some money on a graphics card you'd have to go for an AGP one, and they aren't really being made very much any more due to the succession of PCI-E slots for graphics cards.

Of the top of my head you're probably looking for a ATI Radeon 4650 HD at best. You still won't really be able to play any new games on it though, might be time for a new rig.

I wish I could install it for you its so easy|||The good news is that you have a PCI Express x16 slot on your motherboard for a graphics card. The bad news is that it has a 250W power supply. Unless you plan to also upgrade your power supply in order to support a better card, the only card that I would use in that system is the HD 5450 which has a max power draw of 20W. Anything more powerful than that without a power supply upgrade will almost certainly cause your system to crash from being underpowered. The card with the next lowest power draw is the HD 5550, draws 40W leaving the rest of your system with only 210W, which will most likely cause it to crash.

Additionally, more RAM would help you out.|||You need to find out what kind of graphics slot your computer has. Typically computers will have an AGP, PCI Express or simple PCI slot for additional cards and upgrades. I couldn't find any information on what kind of slots the T5010 has. Check you system documentation or the eMachines support site.

Once you know what kind of video card your computer can accept then it's a matter of finding one within your budget. Keep in mind that super high-end graphics cards like the nVidia 7800 and 7900 series cards require additional power from a special PCI-E power adapter from your power supply, however you can get away with the entry-level and mid-level cards like a 7600GT without additional power.

Is there a specific kind of video card needed for certain computers?

We wanted to get a video card so that we can watch videos on our computer. Are there specific ones needed for different computers? We have an emachines T3616 Desktop PC with Windows Vista if that helps at all. I know I probably sound stupid asking this but please just answer, don't criticize.|||HI there. Yes different computers have a different slot for the video card and you must get one to match your type.

Your T3616 has a PCI-Express® (PCI-E x16) so that is really good. You'll need to make sure that it says PCI-express on the video card when you buy it.

To get you started, here is a link to newegg.com, a really reliable online electronics retailer with great prices. I have sorted the video cards by PCI express x 16 for you, so any of these should work.

Good luck with your search.|||This depends on your mother board. There are three types of slots that video cards typically fit into: PCI, PCI Express, and AGP. For your model you have both the PCI Express and PCI. I would go PCI Express.|||It appears to have a PCI Express x16 slot available. Most video cards now-a-days will fit in it. The one below should be more than powerful enough, and you can look at more at that site. Make sure it's PCI Express (x16 or PCI Express 2.0)|||to ad to the mix there is PCI, PCI Express, and AGP all so on board Video .|||Can we assume you don't have a video card now,and or cannot watch videos? Go to control panel -- system -- Devicemanager -- Display adapter. That will tell you what type of video adapter you currently have. Then Google the card ID to get more info on it.If it says it's integrated, you may want to purchase something better,of the PCI-E variety, but many integrated adapters play video just fine.

How do I use two video cards with my emachines desktop?

I have an Emachines T2085 with an add-on video card and an onboard one. Only the add-on card will run. The other monitor doesn't work. I know the on-board card is working correctly because it did before the new card went in.|||i think the two video cards must be the exact same, like two Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTXs, for example

hope that helps|||I have had this problem before, trying to use onboard and add on graphics. I think I solved it by setting the BIOS to use the onboard graphics as default, not the add on which might have become the new default after installation.|||Try this guide:

http://freepctech.com/pc/001/guide_dual_…|||You can't use the add-on card and the onboard card at the same time. If you want to use two monitors, your video card has to be able to support it and have two ports.|||Usually most mainboards do not allow simultaneous usage of both on-board video and external video.

I want to upgrade my video card on an eMachines E620- 5885 from ATI Radeon X1200 to something like GeForce?

Like I said, I want to upgrade my eMachines E620-5885 from ATI Radeon X1200 to a GeForce graphics card. Is it possible?|||Unfortunately, you cannot change the video card on laptops, it's built-in to the motherboard. So whatever it came with, is permanent for the lifetime of the unit.

On desktops you can buy better video cards, sound cards, power supplies etc. and replace components.

The only way to upgrade a laptop's graphics capability is with an external video adapter like the ATI XGP or Asus XG station, but those are expensive.|||Prebuilt pc's have minimal power supplies to keep price competitive.

You will probably need a higher wattage psu if you get 9600 or above geforce.

Get a 500W psu with 18 - 20 amps on the +12V output will handle most single card geforce setups.

I didnt check the model number E620- 5885 is a laptop the next poster is right. You can't upgrade the graphics adapter it is onboard graphics

Am i able to download a new video card from the intel website for my computer?

i have an emachine model T5026 & i still have the original video card but i heard that you can download the latest video cards for your computer. is this true? & where can i download one? are they on the intel or emachines website?|||Ok what you usually have in most computers is a On-board GPU (Graphic's Processing Unit) on your Mother/Main board that outputs the graphics from the GUI (Graphical User Interface) of your OS to your monitor. This GPU is given instructions to do this by a driver called the Graphics Chipset. This program can be updated via revisions from the manufacturer of the motherboard or the chipset.

Now lets say you don't have an On-Board GPU the same idea applys for a dedicated card, which Emachine's never puts in.

You can always get a Deciated GPU all you have to do is find the ports on your PC and get the right card which for your PC i'd probally say either PCI or PCI-E card slot.|||cant download vid cards. vid cards are hardware which means they are physical parts of a computer. you can download new drivers for them though and even download new video players. these are software which means they are programs only and not a part of oyur computer.

to increase video quality that realy pops and has faster vdeo playback without drag you will need to buy a new CARD.(HARDWARE).|||A video card is a solid object. You cannot download a video card. You can only download new drivers for the existing video card. You have to go to the web site of the video card manufacturer to download updated drivers. If it's built into the motherboard, then go to the EMachines website and get instructions.|||They are talking about video card drivers which is what windows uses to interact with your video card. You have to find out what card you have in your system and then go to the manufacturers website and download the frivers from there but you should be able to go to the emachine website and find your system on there to download the drivers.

Cos I am a nice person I did all the work for you, here is the site which has all the driver updates for your computer. The driver update for your video card is halfway down the page.

A video card is a piece of hardware either connected to or part of your computers motherboard (but in the case where it is part of the motherboard (like yours) it is an onboard video chipset)|||Nah honey, well, you can get the latest DRIVERS that might improve the performance of your video card. But, video card = physical part inside your pc. Driver = software that... see above.|||You cannot download a new video card. You can, howver, go to Intel's website and download driver updates for your machine's video card chipset.

Try going to emachine's website and downloading a driver pack for your computer in their support section.
