I have a eMachine T3120 I was hoping to install a low/medium level video card wanted to know any useful info.?

I know from experience my old HP would not accept an ATI Radeon video card, was just curious if eMachines had anything like that. I know my computer has a few open PCI slots, I also plan to upgrade the RAM but already have the info on that. Any information would be greatly appreciated and help my low budget gaming experience ;d|||Hi John,

Any video card you install needs to match the onboard chipset. So, if the motherboard video chipset is Nvideo, you'll want to purchase a video card with Nvideo chipset. Same goes for ATI.

I just did a google search using 'T3120, video card' as the search criteria. Alot was returned that may be useful to you. Here's the search:

You can find some really good component prices at:

Good luck!

What video card is compatible with my emachines t6412?

and which one is good to run windows 7?|||A better question is why would you even bother upgrading an eMachines. They're garbage.

Can my computer handle a Nvidia GeForce 6200 video card (or better)?

I am wanting a bunch of new stuff for my computer for a new video game comming out soon. I have been thinking about getting a new video card and more memory. I don't know much about computers though. But I do know that I own a Emachines T5020 computer. One other thing I know is that it can handle PCI-E video cards.

I am just wondering if you can tell me some good video cards that will work. Thanks!|||You will need a PCI-e 16x slot and according to that page the computer only has PCI and PCI-e 1x. The 6200 probably has a PCI version but PCI cards are very bad for video games and I think your current integrated graphics might even be better than that. On the system requirements page it also says PCI cards will perform poorly.

There are no good cards that fit in your PC but I guess the 6200 PCI version might run the game on low graphics. Don't count on it, though.

I have a video card question for emachines computer?

I have a emahcines with a 250w power supply computer here:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9999111700050017&st=emachines&lp=4&type=product&cp=1&id=pcmprd111800050017

and i was wondering what good 512mb video card could i get without upgrading or changing the power supply. maybe a video card that could run cod4 and crysis no problem.

Thank you very much|||Not possible. If you add a video card, you will have to upgrade to at least a 350w power supply, as it is the bare minimum for some cards. Most will be either 400w or 450w for a minimum requirement.|||no card will be able to play those games with high graphic settings with a 250w power supply. actuallly, the game probably won't even start. i suggest just look on ebay. i got a 650Watt LED power supply for $40, works great

Will the HIS ATI Radeon 9250 256MB video card fit into My T2792 emachines Desktop? as in is the hardware compa?

That last word is compatible btw, and Im thinking about upgrading the graphics in my emachines with the above card, will it fit into the motherboard? i have a link to the vid card here

https://www.4allmemory.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=upgrades.details&product_id=238177|||i have an emachine and can not upgrade the video card. can not disable the on board video. contacted tech support for both and they did not know any thing|||Open your computer case and see if you can tell if it has a PCI slot available. I'm 99% sure it does so you shouldn't have any problem at all.|||If there is a PCI slot it will work otherwise you need the proper expansion card.|||if you have an open PCI slot it will...

What kind of video card does my emachines t3256 computer use?

How do i check what type of video card my t3256 emachines computer? Will an agp video card with ati radeon x1300 pro or greater work on my computer? How about with NVIDIA Geoforce 6600 or greater? Does pixel shader 3.0 come with the video card? How do i increase the GHz in my CPU? I need to work medal of honor airborne on my pc but it says my video card doesn't support. And also the minimum requirements say my cpu must be 2.8ghz or faster while mine is only 2.2ghz.|||it uses a very outdated geforce 4 mx. you can get an agp card since you have 1 agp x8 slot. you can make your processor run faster by overclocking, but emachine bios doesn't allow that so you're out of luck.

http://www.emachines.com/support/product…

also if you overclock and don't know what you are doing you might kill your processor. any ways a processor that old will probably not overclock to 2.8ghz in the first place. if you really want to overclock then you will need a new cpu fan.

look up cpu overclocking on google.

this is a list of graphics cards that you can buy, but only buy ythem if your power supply is good enough.

they don't even make the 6600 since its outdated.

all of these are pretty outdated by today's standards since agp was replaced by pci-e, but the last one seems good.

youre better off buying a new pc since he one you have now sucks.

VIDEO CARD for emachines ?

I have this PC: http://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=T%20Series&model=T6528 , its been upgraded to 2gb RAM, next thing is that i want to upgrade the video card. it has the original card nothing changed except for the RAM. SO what i want is to get some recommendations of what video car to get. I would like to play games around 2005-2008, not newer cause i know CPU cant deal with it. Please advise me of what to get I would like to get the best VIDEO CARD my pc can handle. THANKS|||Wow, thanks for all the info!

Given the system you have I would recommend an ATI/AMD 5770 PCI-E video card.

It will not need any additional power, and will HUGELY IMPROVE your ability to play not quite cutting edge games. Actually, with a 22" LCD monitor, you would be surprised how well this card will run modern games! Don't go any bigger on the card though, since eMachines power supplies are not known for extra headroom. In any event, you are restricted based on the cpu you have anyway, as you said. You have the PCI-Ex16 slot, I say 5770 all the way!
